Ingredients

  • 2 sirloin steaks, sliced thin
  • 1 c. uncooked basmati rice
  • 1 c. edamame beans
  • 1-2 c. carrots, match stick
  • 1-2 c. bell peppers, sliced
  • 1-2 c. cucumbers, sliced any way
  • 1/2 c. half-fat mayo
  • 1 Tbsp Sriracha sauce
  • Optional: a few Tbsp of kimchi
  • Optional garnish: sesame seeds

K Pop Sauce

  • 1/4 c. Tamari or soy sauce
  • 1 Tbsp mirin
  • 1 Tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp honey
  • 1/2 Tbsp chili garlic paste
  • 1/2 Tbsp toasted sesame oil
  • 1 tsp ginger

Directions

1. Make basmati rice as per package directions.

2. In a small mason jar combine the K Pop Sauce ingredients and shake/mix well.

3. In a condiment container, combine the mayo, sriracha, and a bit of the K pop sauce. Mix well.

4. Thinly slice the steak and fry until mostly cooked. Add in your desired amount of the K Pop Sauce and cook just enough to infuse flavour into the steak, around 1-2 minutes.

5. Plate with rice, steak, veggies, edamame beans, and a drizzle of the mayo. Feel free to add a serving of kimchi to this bowl as well. Optionally sprinkle with sesame seeds & enjoy!
